The Government of India continues to focus on skilling as its priority. The target is to engage 50 Lakh apprentices as against the current number of 2.5 Lakh apprentices as part of a HRD initiative. For this purpose, The Apprenticeship Act 1961 was amended in August 2016 and NAPS was launched for promoting culture of Apprenticeship and also increase number of apprentices in our eco system.
Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India has appointed Cadmaxx Solutions Education Trust Third Party Aggregator (TPA) for National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS).
